Emilio is a military veteran who proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 2000 to 2004 as a metal worker and welder. During his service, he completed a six-month deployment to Kuwait and Iraq in 2003 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he assisted with the maintenance and repair of forward vehicles damaged in the line of duty.

After completing his military service, Emilio worked as a union pipefitter from 2005 to 2009 with Local 725. During this time, he contributed to several major construction projects, including the MIA Airport Expansion Project, Eden Roc Hotel renovation, St. Regis new construction project in Bal Harbour, and the Norwood Water Treatment Plant construction project in North Miami.

Emilio began his career in property management in 2011 with Hines, working as an Operating Engineer at The Landing (formerly Airport Corporate Center) as well as at 2525 Ponce in Coral Gables. In 2015, he joined Gibson Realty at Downtown Doral, where the property later transitioned to Cushman & Wakefield management and was eventually owner-managed by Codina Partners. During his five years at this property, Emilio advanced through the roles of Lead Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, and Chief Engineer.

In 2020, Emilio joined Banyan Street Capital as Chief Engineer overseeing Doral Corporate Center, before joining Cushman & Wakefield in 2021, where he continues to serve in a leadership role in building engineering and operations.


Education & Certifications

Emilio completed the apprenticeship program from 2005 to 2009 at A.R.P.E.C. (Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Pipefitting Education Center), graduating as a Journeyman Pipefitter.

He holds the following certifications:

  • EPA Universal Certification
  • 6G Welding Certification
